The LK lunar module shown here is a personal rendering of what the ship would have looked like if the Soviets had succeeded in sending it to the Moon.

Three unmanned test flights, Kosmos 379, 398 and 434, were conducted in Earth orbit. These flights went smoothly.For more details, please refer to Wikipedia.
